Born January 13th 1976, Kole Moulton grew up in a small country town nestled quietly beneath the majestic Teton Mountains in Victor, Idaho. His youth was spent with family and friends hunting, fishing and going on pack trips in this inspirational wilderness. His first bicycle was a buckskin horse named Fever, and he still enjoys breaking colts in his free time. His clean and powerful lyrics are complemented by the rockin’ roll country attitude which most like was born from his rodeo days. At the age of nine he started out riding steers and throughout his youth enjoyed team roping, bull riding and bareback horses. This passion of riding rough stock no doubt shows up heavily in his style of songwriting and music composition. Music has always been something special for Kole, from when he first played the drums to his love now for writing music. His ability to capture feelings and transform them into something much more has entertained those around Kole for much of his life. In the coming years after high school, Kole was given more opportunity and with that he found his love for song writing and singing grew. His first song ‘look at my heart’ was written around the age of 21 and about the same time he humbly began to sing and play the guitar. Fans tore it up, his rock ‘n roll country sound was a great mix of tradition and energy.

This great sound was solidified in 2002 with the forming of his first mainstream band, Moulton Jess. As songwriter and lead singer, Kole found himself surrounded by the great talent of Jaremy ‘Jess’ Ericson and Rockin’ Peter Bryan. Later joined by Wez Stewart on drums, Moulton Jess created 2 very successful albums and had even more success with their energy at live venues. This produced opportunities to open and play with such top national acts as Taylor Swift, Chris Cagle, Neal McCoy, Rodney Atkins, Phill Vassar, and Most Recently Kellie Pickler and Craig Morgan. They also had the humble privilege to play with many giants of the Idaho and Wyoming Cowboy scene such as Pinto Bennett, Kip Attaway, Kenny Bradberry, Bruce Hauser, Chris Wall, and The Montana Rose Band, just to name a few.

Moulton Jess electrified fans on the radio and live at their shows until early winter 2009. The new beginnings of 2010 found Kole on a new adventure for which he and his fans are very excited. As a self titled act, Kole Moulton and his newly formed band ‘Lonely Road’ are looking to get back to the music and lyrics inspired by the incredible wilderness he grew up, for which he and the band still call home.

Lonely Road is still rockin’ with the energetic chords of friend Peter Bryan who has been playing with Kole for the last seven years. Rockin’ Pete has a stage presence which amazes fans whether playing slow western ballads or bringing the house down with one of his solos. They are now joined by a legendary bass player from these part in Lyle ‘Pops’ Evans who brings a background of playing with Pinto Bennett, Doug Supernaw, Chris Ledoux and most recently Western Underground. In addition they have brought in the dynamic sounds of Shawn Doyle on drums that have helped form this new energy with fans.
